YouSendIt.com [1] allows you to e-mail large files quickly, securely, and easily. How big is "large" you ask? How about up to a FREAKING GIG! The way it works is this, you put in the desired email address, then you select any file on your hard drive up to one gigabyte, and hit send. When the file is done uploading, the other person doesn't get a upteen-meg attachment, instead they just get a link to download it from YouSendIt's servers. It's completely free, and you don't even have to register! Give it a try.
