But only is it turns into a "Nixon-eske" fiasco.
We haven't found Saddam either, and nobody is say he didn't exist...

It is painfully obvious that the "intelligence" that was used to determine the validity of the Bush administrations claims regarding Iraq's WMD was flawed at best.
Is this something that should get GWB impeached? No. Is it something that will bite the republicans in the ass come Nov '04? Only time will tell.
One thing is for certain, the Bush administration did not present a fair and unbiased assesment of the Iraqi WMD program, or Iraq's ability to directly threaten the US, or it's allies.
I would not go so far as to say they lied, but they sure hid alot of the truth. Either way though, the guy had to be removed... I'm just not convinced it was as urgent as we were made to believe.

The analogy isn't the best, but there's some truth to it. If you take a look at some of the people in US public office that are now speaking up against the Bush administration, you'll find that many of them thought Saddam had WMDs too years ago and in truth probably still thought he did pre war.
Personally, I think he did have WMD. But he had over 10 years to hide them. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he moved his programs outside of his borders. But that is a scary thought. Either way, I'm certain that we are safer now with Saddam out of power. Think of the danger Bin Laden caused without his own State to support his plans. If you doubt Saddam had similar ill intent for the US you are sadly mistaken. And he certainly had the ability to do harm with that intent.
Blix, although he is against the war, stated that too many things were unexplained by Iraq. He had his doubts. Everyone forgets that. They were not being truthful nor forth coming.
Sadam, though evil, was smart. He did a great job of hiding his laundry. And unfortunately, people will use this for their political gain. It's that kind of attitude that puts our national defense second and politics first...

"I may not agree with what you say, but i will defend to the death your right to say it."
--Voltaire
Not finding Hussein is a valid point. Iraq is a big place. What is to say that Saddam didn't sneak WMD's out before the invasion? He certainly had ample opportunity, with the Leftmedia and the French feeding him information.
The news media did not exactly present a fair and unbiased report of the "quagmire" in Iraq, or the regime's operations.
I wouldn't go so far as to say they lied, I'd settle for an admission that they're too stuck on sensationalist reporting and supporting special interest groups to be objective. Not to mention the lack of "big-picture" thinking...
If you take a look at most of the people, they are the same ones that are incapable of standing up to anyone...
You know what really gets to me? How people say we started this war. We didn't. Hussein did, when he invaded Kuwait. The they say Bush Sr. did a good job, but never used it to his advantage. No, he messed it up royally, doing his half-assed Operation Desert Storm and not taking Saddam out totally.
But that's just my right wing gun nut 0.02$...

Heeeey guuuuuys... the login is a bit mussed up, that last post was mine.
Anyway:
"I see a lot of people yelling for peace but I have not heard of a plan for peace. So, here's one plan: ... 1) The U.S. will apologize
to the world for our 'interference' in their affairs, past and present. We will promise never to 'interfere' again. ... 2) We will withdraw
our troops from all over the world, starting with Germany, South Korea and the Philippines. They don't want us there. We would
station troops at our borders. No more sneaking through holes in the fence. ... 3) All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs
together and leave. We'll give them a free trip home. After 90 days the remainder will be gathered up and deported immediately,
regardless of who or where they are. France would welcome them. ... 4) All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to
90 day visits unless given a special permit. No one from a terrorist nation would be allowed in. If you don't like it there, change it
yourself, don't hide here. Asylum would not ever be available to anyone. We don't need any more cab drivers. ... 5) No 'students'
over age 21. The older ones are the bombers. If they don't attend classes, they get a 'D' and it's back home, baby. ...6) The U.S.
will make a strong effort to become self-sufficient energy-wise. This will include developing nonpolluting sources of energy but will
require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will have to cope for awhile. ... 7) Offer Saudi Arabia and
other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don't like it, we go someplace else. ... 8) If there is a famine or other
natural catastrophe in the world, we will not 'interfere.' They can pray to Allah or whomever, for seeds, rain, cement or whatever
they need. Besides, most of what we give them gets 'lost' or is taken by their army. The people who need it most get very little,
anyway. ... 9a) Ship the UN Headquarters to an island someplace. We don't need the spies and fair weather friends here.
Besides, it would make a good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens. ... 9b) Use the UN buildings as replacement for the
Twin Towers. ... 10) All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can call us 'ugly Americans' any longer.
... Now, ain't that a winner of a plan? ... The Statue of Liberty is no longer saying 'Give me your poor, your tired, your huddled
masses.' She's got a baseball bat and she's yelling, 'You want a piece of me?'" --"A Peace Plan" (Without Attribution)
