I don't hate France, but thought I'd feed the growing anti-France movement in the US. Was just kinda joking. But in all seriouness...
I've had my differences with some French/French Canadian folks in the past. But I like to poke fun as the frogs I know cuz it's fun. Stereo types, good stuff when not taken seriously.
Also, France is a big doody head because they're cutting Iraq too much slack because they, along with Germany and Russia, have too much cash invested in Iraq and don't want to hurt their investments.
I guess they feel if the gov changes, they'll never get the money Saddam owes them. Also, should be interesting to look back at this years later and see how many of the above mentioned countries have been selling Iraq the so called "dual purpose" equipment and products. "Oh golly, you mean they gonna use that stuff to make weapons? My bad I thought they were making baby milk with all of thos things."

You people kill me. Listen, France being a pussy country has been a stereotype for years. Talk to any British, American, Canadian, or any other Allied force that has fought along side a Frenchmen and they always say the same thing, the French soldiers never shut up, the over think everything, and are afraid to fire their weapon when it counts. I’m not kidding, ask any allied soldier that has fought alongside a Frenchmen. This isn’t my point though…
The US is not under attack? Saddam is disarming? No proof that Saddam supplies terrorists? Saddam doesn’t have chemical or biological weapons?
I ask you this, when we do go to war, on our own, and the first day of the war Saddam fires a missile with VX gas in to our bases in Kuwait, which he will, it will be his first act, is France going to publicly apologize and immediately join the war?
We have proof that top Bin Laden officers have met with Iraq, but no, we don’t have a picture of Bin Laden giving Saddam a blow job, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t in bed together. Does the “smoking gun” have to be a mushroom cloud before you’re convinced?
So answer me Frenchie….

Here is my answer to a bunch of ignorant uneducated underachieved morons.
Excerpt from the "Give back the Statue of Liberty to the people of France" Petition
To: the U.S. Congress, the Mayor of New-York, The White House
First a bit of history:
Located in New York Harbor, the Statue of Liberty was a gift of international friendship from the people of France to the people of the United States.
The Statue of Liberty was dedicated on October 28, 1886.
It has been designed and assembled in France by Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi. The same man that offered the Statue of La Fayette to the U.S.A 10 years earlier.
Built in France in sections, the Statue of Liberty is made of copper supported by an iron skeleton constructed by Gustave Eiffel, architect of the famous tower. Its 300 separate pieces were molded and shaped in Paris, and then reassembled in New York Harbor. The statue rests on a granite pedestal 25 meters high.
Money for the statue itself came from a generous subscription fund in France.
We have watched in dismay the anti-French hysteria growing in the USA.
Excerpt from the insane anti-French campaign:
Many US newspapers (New-York Post, Washington Post...) have insulted the people of France saying the French were "defeatist monkey", "coward"...
There are «French bashing» demonstrations every week in front of French consulates in the U.S.A.
A US congressman has forced the congress restaurant to rename French fries into freedom fries!!!
There are on-going petition to boycott French goods.
And the worst is that not a voice in the U.S.A was raised to protest against this nonsense.
Given this, we think that the American people do not deserve anymore the Statue of Liberty, a gift from the people of France.
So we ask the US Congress, the mayor of New York and the Bush administration to stop immediately this insane anti-French hysteria.
If they fail to do so then they'll have to return the Statue of Liberty to its first owner: the people of France.
Ignorance is the mother of all evil.
http://www.petitiononline.com/frlib1/petition.html
And now an American History Lesson...
From the perspective of the American Revolution the high point of French support is the landing of five battalions of French infantry and artillery in Rhode Island in 1780. In 1781, these French troops under the command of Count Rochambeau marched south to Virginia where they joined Continental forces under Washington and Lafayette. Cornwallis, encamped on the Yorktown peninsula, hoped to be rescued by the British navy. A French fleet under the command of Admiral DeGrasse intercepted and, after a fierce battle lasting several days, defeated the British fleet and forced it to withdraw. This left the French navy to land heavy siege cannon and other supplies and trapped Cornwallis on the Yorktown peninsula.
At that point, the defeat of Cornwallis was essentially a matter of time. On September 14, 1781, the French and Continental armies completed their 700 mile march and soon thereafter laid siege to the British positions. After a number of weeks and several brief but intense engagements, Cornwallis, besieged on the peninsula by the large and well-equipped French-American army, and stricken by dysentery, determined to surrender his army. On October 19, 1781, the British forces marched out between the silent ranks of the Americans and French, arrayed in parallel lines a mile long, and cast down their arms.
Abbe Robin, who witnessed the surrender, described the victorious American and French forces present at the ceremony. “Among the Americans, the wide variety in age – 12 to 14-year old children stood side by side with grandfathers – the absence of uniformity in their bearing and their ragged clothing made the French allies appear more splendid by contrast. The latter, in their immaculate white uniforms and blue braid, gave an impression of martial vigor despite their fatigue. We were all astonished by the excellent condition of the English troops, by their number – we were expecting scarcely 3,000 and they numbered more than 8,000 – and by their discipline.”
George Woodbridge summed up the Yorktown campaign in the following words: "The strategy of the campaign was Rochambeau's; the French fleet was there as a result of his arrangements; the tactics of the battle were his; the American army was present because he had lent money to Washington; in total naval and military participants the French outnumbered the Americans between three and four to one. Yorktown was Rochambeau’s victory.
How strange it must have been for these French troops and their new-found colonial allies, some of whom had fought each other as enemies barely fifteen years earlier, to stand shoulder to shoulder in armed conflict with France’s ancient enemy and the colonist’s blood kin! In the end, these French soldiers became the hard anvil upon which the new American nation was forged and the chains of British imperial domination were finally broken.
This history lesson is dedicated to the numerous fat ignorant morons that the U.S.A are hosting currently. With their master, G.W. Bush, on power, they seem to thrive. lol

Here is the anwer I wrote about a mail I received.
As stated earlier, involving History is indeed pointless! But who is to be blamed?
Who got involved into an anti-French histeria?
Who is asking the French to agree blindly to the american foreign policy because they got liberated by the US 60 years earlier?
First the mail I received then my answer.
Hopefully this will open your mind.
>According to the American Battle Monuments Commission there are 26,255
>Yankee dead from World War I buried in 4 cemeteries in France. There are
>30,426 American dead from World War II buried in 6 cemeteries in France.
>These 56,681 brave American heroes died in their youth to liberate France.
>
>
>Speaking of liberte.........You wouldn't know it without 56,681 americans!
>
Please read this mail entirely, english is not my mother tongue (as opposed to you) and it took time for me to write it.
I've tried to be constructive and I hope that this mail will open your mind.
So please take time to answer to my questions.
Your statement about the courageous American soldiers that died in Normandy is pathetic!!!
Because American soldiers liberated France 60 years ago, does it mean that the French government has to agree blindly with the foreign policy of the Bush administration?
Please answer that question.
I've added at the end of my mail an excerpt of American History that I'm sure you ignored.
As you'll learn the French took a decisive part into the USA gaining their independence. In my humble opinion, it does not mean that you owe anything to France. Even if the French helped the USA 220 years ago being independent, fortunately the USA have got the right to disagree with the French foreign policy. And vice-versa, even if the American soldiers liberated France 60 years ago, we have got the right to disagree with your foreign policy.
So my second question is:
Do you agree that we have got the right to disagree?
This is democracy.
Now, I'll tell you why I've written this petition "Give back the Statue of Liberty to the people of France": http://www.petitiononline.com/frlib1/petition.html
Formely a pro-american right-wing Frenchman (BTW I'm still right wing!), I have watched in dismay the growing anti-french hysteria in the U.S.A.
Some of the U.S.A citizens even want to rename everything that deals with "French" just because the French government opposed the Bush foreign policy!!!pathetic!
Rep. Robert Ney has proposed to rename French fries into freedom fries.! even more pathetic!!! From a congressman, you would expect something smarter!
Those people repudiate everything that comes from France.
In order to be consistent, I proposed to those people to give back the Statue of Liberty, a gift given in 1886 from the people of France to the people of the U.S.A.
I'm not asking the USA to give us back the Statue of Liberty now! I'm just telling in the petition to those anti-French morons: if you don't want anything French in the USA then:
1) give us back the Statue of Liberty (made in France)
2) give us back the statue of LaFayette (made in France)
3) the USA should become back a colony of UK (USA independent thanks to France)
Of course, I'm not serious. I've written this petition in english because this was first intended for American audience. My will was to open the minds to those anti-French Americans.
Actually a couple of month earlier, I did support the US into invading Irak.
I must admit seeing the anti-French hysteria propagated by high ranking US officials (Rumsfeld, Rep. Robert Ney, ...), I've completly changed my mind.
I'm definitely no longer pro-american.
I'm neither anti-american because I (as opposed to you) can make a difference between a goverment and the citizens of a country.
I know that many Americans are opposed to Bush policy, some Democrats even said that Bush diplomacy is the worst the USA ever had.I just think that the Bush administration is composed of a bunch of sectarian individuals (remember that G.W. Bush was lately an alcoholic) followed by some uneducated morons.
And France is only a scapegoat for their disastrous diplomacy.
Almost every countries and people in the world do follow the French government position. Anyway, I don't give a shit to the French government position. I'm just a French citizen that watched in dismay this anti-French nonsense growing in the U.S.A.
And this did hurt me a lot since I have been supporting your country for many years.
Here is an excerpt of an interresting NYTimes article: ( http://www.latinola.com/story.php?story=823 )
"Moreover, Mr. Bush was disingenuous when he described the backlash against the French as "not stirred up by anybody except the people." On the same day that the report of his interview appeared, The Financial Times carried the headline, "Hastert Orchestrates Tirade Against the French." That's Dennis Hastert, the speaker of the House of Representatives. In fact, anti-French feeling has been carefully fomented by Republican officials, Rupert Murdoch's media empire and other administration allies."
As you can read, this anti-French swing was orchestrated by the Bush administration, namely by Dennis Hastert, the speaker of the House of Representatives with the help of Rupert Murdoch's media empire (NYPost,...).
So, guys, you're being manipulated. It's now time for you to open your eyes and not to take for granted what's said about France.
Since you belong to a democratic country, you've got the duty of having a critical look at w

Dear brother Moore,
I too think it less than effective to use Texas colloquialisms as a form of diplomatic communication. It doesn't even work with Americans who have something keeping their ears from smashing together, let alone worldly diplomats.
Truth is a matter of perspective, a consequence of where you were born and how you were engrained with social mores. To some, Arabs for example, Bin Laden is a hero. After all, the saying; "one man's terrorist is another's freedom fighter " is an accepted truism.
Another accepted tautology is; "My enemy's enemy, is my friend." This is a sound premise that supports the presumed confluence of Saddam and Al Queda. They both abhor America, even more than they dislike each other. The middle east is a home for religious fanatics that make our Christian right look like Doctor Spock clones. And civilized peoples can hardly imagine the cold, cruel machinations of a Machiavellian character like Saddam. True, there is no "Rodney King videotape" evidencing the linkage between the two, but pragmatism states that it may follow. After all, we don't know where the anthrax came from that killed innocent Americans, do we?
Can we apply the established rule of law in this new post 9-11 paradigm? Clearly not, as to wait for the crime is now equivalent to allowing thousands of innocent Americans to die. Saddam gives a small fortune to the families of Palestinian homicide bombers. He enables terrorism. We must acknowledge this as a fact. Clinton had a deal that gave Arafat virtually all he wanted.
Arafat chose terrorism, me must acknowledge this as fact too. He uses Regan's old trick, plausible deniability, in a thinly veiled attempt to distance himself from Hamas. However, in the civilized world we have such a burden of proof that many think of Arafat as a victim, as many thought OJ was innocent. People are so good-hearted that it is too much to think that perverted tyrants operate on such a cruel level. We tend to project what we want to see on everything from leaders to our pets. We think our dog loves us, until our neighbor drags a hotdog by our fence.
We project our thoughts onto our pets, even speaking for them. It is hard to see an intelligent man like Blix as a schoolboy on the other side of the cardboard from a street hustler, giggling as the pea is not under the shell -AGAIN! But we must look at reality. From Saddam's side, from his perspective of the truth, Blix is a fool -an innocent that must be exploited simply because he is exploitable. This is called prison-mentality in America. It is called rational in Saddam's frame of reference, his truth.
We are locked in this world where Arafat, Saddam, Kim Jung Il, et al exist. While we hold off attempts from fundamentalist Christians to take the first steps in making America a theocracy, we must deal with the fact that there are nation states which are now theocracies. We are soft in the civilized world. Much of the world is very hard. Life is cheap to others on our cell block. We may be imprisoned unfairly, but there is nowhere to go. We must deal with reality on reality's terms. We must accept our situation, and find a way to safely survive until a more rational and just place is our residence. While here, though, we must not be afraid to defend ourselves, as weakness is seen as an opening to even more abuse. Many in the middle east view us as a toothless tiger. A toothless tiger is nothing more than a big pussy. We can not allow ourselves to be seen as afraid in this new paradigm. We can't be afraid to act because we're afraid the middle east will become even angrier. It is time to wake up, be tough, or get fucked like a big pussy.
Yes, the whole world is against the USA acting unilaterally. Good-hearted people are against war. But, the Russians and Chinese don't care about a big country bullying a smaller one.
Come on! They worry that America is ceasing to tuck nuts and cluck. An America with calcium in the spine, acting in its own interest, unilaterally, and possibly extra legally, is a true hegemonic threat. This is rational. It is in their interest to oppose this. It is not in America's interest to cow to this opposition. This is survival, not a popularity contest.
Germany still suffers from national guilt, and their weasel-like leadership is not above exploiting that for political gain. Pragmatic power politics has been engrained over centuries and is in the European modus operandi. They have miscalculated our resolve to break from the pre 9-11 paradigm of negotiations, resolutions, and condemnations after an attack. Maybe they can yet afford to be stuck in the old familiar ways. Maybe they're in denial. In any event, we can't afford not to change with the new reality. German leaders have benefited locally and in the short term, but German leadership will be seen by history as having prostituted their good people's future credibility. Again, it is good-hearted people who are against war. It is a good hearted prisoner who is against fighting a fellow prisoner. But fight he should, or learn to enjoy the taste of salt.
Germans would do well to review their own tyrant and link him to the true rogue leaders, not Americans under attack. This is the new reality. This is necessary. Discussion is pointless with our fanatically religious enemies. It is time for America to wake up to reality and stand up... or, conversely, bend over.
America is not under attack because we want to occupy other countries, or take their oil. We are the inmate in the cell next door who wears glasses, uses big words, and has skinny arms. We are guilty of being different to an intolerant people. We don't believe in Islam or want an Islamic theocracy for our system of government. This is not our

It's a shame that so many uninformed people have so much to say. It's also a shame that the same people tend to harp on about events which took place years ago and are completely irrelevant to today. Let history remain history. So the Germans don't want to take part in todays war against Iraq - why does the Nazi topic have to be dragged out of the mud again - what's that got to do with anything anyway??? To be honest what's more annoying is that the problem wasn't sorted out last time. Does this mean that there'll be a replay every decade because no-one's able to sort the problem out? Well done USA, UK and the rest of the diplomatic geniuses!!!!! Think about the poor bastard soldier who took part in the Gulf War No. I and has been sent down there again - that's a real kick in the nuts!! Before you take the time to lay the blame on countries and their countrymen (God knows why it all becomes so personal) take a good look at where the problem really lays. - Gulf War I vet. - 6 months of my life wasted in 1990/91!
