My heart goes out to this family, as well as the thousands of other families touched by this war. Wonder what Andy Rooney thinks about these girls... Who cares, the old bastard should retire, he's lost touch with reality!

Sec Def Rumsfeld said Marines have cordoned off Fallujah, a hotbed of anti- coalition activity and the site of the killings and mutilation of four U.S. security contractors March 31. "(U.S. forces) have captured a number of people over the past 36 hours," Rumsfeld said. "The city is isolated. A number of people have resisted and been killed. And it will be a methodical effort to find the individuals who were involved."

I posted this article in the forums, but I think it makes such a good point that it needed to be highlighted here. If you're not into politics, you may not be interested, but if you are/were for or against the war on terrorism, and felt strongly either way, I invite you to read this. Keep in mind, it's an Aussie article...
The point of this article is that the terrorists will not be negotiated with. And they want to kill us, pure and simple. Negotiating and appeasing simply will not work. To quote/paraphrase a fine film from the 80s... Listen and understand. [Bin Laden] is out there...

Saddam Hussein spit on a G.I. as he was handcuffed last week outside his spider hole, the soldier promptly slugged Saddam. Probably the first time in more than two decades that Saddam was powerless to exact lethal revenge on someone who stood up to him.

"We can make them [Saddam and other regime members] listen to rap music 24 hours a day until he absolutely goes out of his mind," said former CIA operative Wayne Simmons. They played Van Halen to Noriega back in the day to make him crack... PANAMA! My wife has been using that technique on me for years, and I still haven't cracked. Damn that rap music, no one deserve that kind of torture...
How would you make him talk? Use the poll to voice your opinion...

Without a single shot being fired, U.S. military forces captured former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein as he hid in the bottom of a hole in a home near Tikrit, officials announced at a Baghdad press conference.
President Bush made a surprise visit Thursday to U.S. troops in Baghdad, flying secretly to violence-scarred Iraq on a trip tense with concerns about his safety. Bush spoke with soldiers from the 1st Armored Division and the 82nd Airborne Division at an airport mess hall. “You are defeating the terrorists here in Iraq,” he said, “so we don’t have to face them in our own country.”
Terrorists are testing America’s resolve, Bush said, and “they hope we will run.”
“We did not charge hundreds of miles into the heart of Iraq, pay a bitter cost of casualties, defeat a ruthless dictator and liberate 25 million people only to retreat before a band of thugs and assassins,” the president said, prompting a standing ovation and cheers.
