SpiderMan: The Movie
Rather suprised no-one has put a review up, despite the numerous one's flying around in the press..... Before I saw adverts for the movie, i was skeptical, after seeing the original movie i thought no amount of special effects would save a re-make attempt. The other reason for my skepticism is, maybe some of the drivellers will know, the semi-recent events in the comic book, with Ben Reilly, clones and *dramatic intro* the Green Goblin yet again turning up (in the comic books, the Green Goblin (Norman Osborn) is impaled upon his own goblin glider, causing his heart to stop. He was then replaced by his son, Harry Osborn, who is in turn replaced by his psychiatrist Dr. Bart Hamilton, before Norman Osborn turns up again. Rather Wolverine like..... Anyway, the film centers on the original storyline, none of this damned controversy, with the Goblin being vulnerable, although having 800% strength to Spidey's spider sense. George Lucas could really learn a lot from this film. There are times, when you are unsure what is SFX and what isnt. The SFX have been used to enhance the film, not dominate it (ala EP 1 and EP 2). Overall a great film and one worthy of the coveted 'Drivel High Score', available for viewing at all good cinemas now.
